Many have heard of the Lord of the Rings and of The Hobbit. These two tales are magnificent pieces yet they are but a morsel of all the historical events that occurred in Middle-earth's history. These two stories took place in J.R.R Tolkien's mythological world but occurred ages after the very first wars and happenings in Middle-earth. These days are called the Elder days and the stories that time are mostly in The Silmarillion.
This collection includes the very first events that ever occurred in Middle-earth, including the very forming of Middle-earth such as the making of Iluvatar's song, the arrival and war of the Valar, the birth of men and elves, Morgoth's treachery and robbery of the Silmarils, the flight of the Noldor, and the numerous wars between them and Morgoth. Intertwined with all this is the Tale of the Children of Hurin.
