Analysis of Setting (Thineash John)
                
                  The Children of Hurin takes place in The First Age in Middle Earth by J.R.R Tolkien. This story was taken place in the late 1910s. But the other major setting is held at Nargothrond, Dor-Lomin, Brethil, and Thangorodrim. This is a picture of Hurin being trapped by Morgoth and at the mount of Thangorodrim, when Morgoth puts a curse on the Turin family. This picture is important because Hurin was trapped in the mount of Thangordorim which he got torched at the mountain with the Morgoth's forces and animal of the woods. This scene effect the plot because once he captured Hurin it will fear his mother Morwen. When she fears, get gets frustrated and sends Turin to protect him at Thangorodrim. Then the rest of the story moves on by Turin trying to capture Turin and destroy Morgoth's forces.

                    Turin creates a force against Morgoth's forces in the wild to capture his son Hurin. This is a image of Turin going in the wild at Nargothrond with a sword in his right hand. The next image right beside the first image is a image that represents that Turin had been in the wild for a one year. Turin stayed in places along the way to sleep on his mission to capture his son.

                Nargothrond was a community near the bridge which had been connected it to the river of Beleriand. This was the base of Turin hideout. It was a hidden place from which it was the safest to stay due to the forces of Morgoth was trying to find Turin. The history of Nargothrond bridge was that it was build because Turin had convinced Orodreth to build it. It was made because the forces would easily come in. It was located at Tauren-Faroth. This is a picture of the small village of Nargothrond.




                Dor-lomin is a country in which it was the birthplace of Turin and  Hurin. It is the place in which Turin's whole family lives as a whole. The Turin family is located near the river. The history of Dor-lomin was that it was first colonized as a country with the help of Noldor. Dor-lomin had become a main house from the eyes of Edain. Dor-lomin was once in danger of the country to be ruined but it did not happen due to Turin's servants. Below is a map of the country Dor-Lomin as you can see Dor-Lomin is near the river.



          
               Brethil is a country, where there is full of forest. Brethil is part of Brethil is part of Doriath.  Brethil is the last place Turin had been before he had died, it was the spot where he had passed away. Turin and Morwen grave is at Brethil. Turin had been to Brethil because he had wanted to start a new life after the destruction of Nargothrond. But unfortunately Glaurung found out that he had been there and killed him. From which
